Because it’s Fall TV Season…Here are my Favorite TV Series!

TVS

So…it’s FALL TV Season again yay! Really excited for the returns of OUAT, How to Get Away with Murder, American Horror Story, New Girl, Keeping up with the Kardashians... and so many other shows! Plus, I’m also excited about Scream Queens, Heroes Reborn, Wicked City, Blood and Oil–the list goes on.

Well, there are just so many amazing shows right now, so i thought, why not share my top 10 Favorite TV Series with you? And ta-daaa, here they are:

1. The OC

This is my first love and always will be. Everything was perfect: the music, the drama, Seth and Summer, Ryan and Marissa…everything! Plus, most of your favorite stars came from this show as guest stars, too! (Lucy Hale, Chris Pratt, Natalie Reed, Paul Wesley, etc).

2. Gossip Girl

An episode or two of this show always, always makes me feel better. I like getting lost in the world of the Upper East Side. Sure, it’s exaggerated and crazy, but hey, that makes it amazing, doesn’t it? YOU KNOW YOU LOVE IT!

3.  Once Upon A Time

I’m a sucker for fairytales–even the twisted ones! This show is amazing! Oh, and flawless cast is flawless.

4. Glee

Oh,  I’ve met a couple of friends because of this show!  Also, Dianna Agron is loooove.

5. How to Get Away with Murder
VIOLA DAVIS is amazing and so is this rest of the cast! Each episode is just so full of surprises!

6. Pretty Little Liars

Yeah, fine. I still like this show.  Whatever.

7. One Tree Hill

“There’s only one Tree Hill”. ❤ Also, all those quotes and the music!

8. Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23

Ahhh this was soooo good. Def cancelled way ahead of its time.

9. Jane by Design

Why does ABC cancel the good shows, really?

10. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Well, just listen to this song…

What about you? What are your favorites? What are you excited for?

One Song Per Day: Joseph Arthur – Honey and The Moon

songperday

Joseph Arthur – Honey and the Moon

Don’t know why I’m still afraid
If you weren’t real I would make you up now
I wish that I could follow through
I know that your love is true
And deep
As the sea
But right now
Everything you want is wrong,
And right now
All your dreams are waking up,
And right now
I wish I could follow you
To the shores
Of freedom,
Where no one lives.

Remember when we first met
And everything was still a bet
In love’s game
You would call; I’d call you back
And then I’d leave
A message
On your answering machine

But right now
Everything is turning blue,
And right now
The sun is trying to kill the moon,
And right now
I wish I could follow you
To the shores
Of freedom,
Where no one lives

Freedom
Run away tonight
Freedom, freedom
Run away
Run away tonight

We’re made out of blood and rust
Looking for someone to trust
Without
A fight
I think that you came too soon
You’re the honey and the moon
That lights
Up my night

But right now
Everything you want is wrong,
And right now
All your dreams are waking up,
And right now
I wish that I could follow you
To the shores
Of freedom
Where no one lives

Freedom
Run away tonight
Freedom freedom
Run away
Run away tonight

We got too much time to kill
Like pigeons on my windowsill
We hang around

Ever since I’ve been with you
You hold me up
All the time I’ve falling down

But right now
Everything is turning blue,
And right now
The sun is trying to kill the moon,
And right now
I wish I could follow you
To the shores
Of freedom
Where no one lives

Obviously, I’ll always love Ryan and Marissa. And The OC. And this song always puts me in a pensive mood. Any The OC Fans out there? Let’s talk? :)

October, Baby: 25 songs from The OC -- Birthday Countdown List #1

Alas, it's October--my favorite month of the year! weeee. Why? Well, for the simple reason that it's my birthday month (LOL, sooo childish!), but really, I've always loved October.  I like October Weather; I like thinking that it's autumn (though it's not that big in the Philippines), and that soon, it'll be Christmas--but it'll be my birthday first! HA!

I know, I know, I'm OOOOOOLD but I don't see that as a reason not to celebrate one's birthday. I believe that during your birthday month, you can try to be as happy as can be--and be excited, even just for that little big thing known as your birthday. Mine falls on the 18th (so I basically only have 17 days left of being 25 and then I'll be ancient...) So, I thought I'd do a countdown of some sorts (let's see if I can keep up with this daily) of the things I love, things that matter, and whatever else you can think of.

My first post for my Birthday Countdown List would be a list of the 25 BEST SONGS FROM THE OC!

If you don't know yet, THE OC is my favorite TV Series of all time. I've seen it over and over and it just never gets old. It made me dream of waking up to the smell of coffee and bagels, seeing shows at The Bait Shop, eating Chili Fries, living in THE OC, and possibly meeting my own Seth Cohen! HAHA! I was obsessed with this show (still am). One good thing about THE OC (Aside from Seth, Summer, Ryan, and Marissa) is the awesome, awesome, ultra awesome soundtrack. So, without further adieu, here's...

THE 25 BEST SONGS FROM THE OC:

1. Youth Group - Forever Young
2. Nada Surf - If You Leave
3. Joseph Arthur - Honey and the Moon
4. Finley Quay - Dice
5. Matt Pond PA - Champagne Supernova
6. Ryan Adams - Wonderwall
7. Phantom Planet - California
8. Rachael Yamagata - Worn Me Down
9. Jason Scwartzman - The West Coast
10. Imogen Heap -  Hide and Seek
11. Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
12. Rooney - Terrible Person
13. Coldplay - Fix You
14. Jem - Maybe I'm Amazed
15. Dios Malos - You got me all wrong
16. U2 - Sometimes you can't make it on your own
17. The Perishers - Trouble Sleeping
18. The Killers - Mr. Brightside
19. Beck - True Love will find you in the end
20. The Dandy Warhols - We Used to be Friends
21. Alexi Murdoch - All of my days
22. Mates of State - California
23. Rachael Yamagata - Reason Why
24. Mazzy Star - Into Dust
25. Patrick Park - Life is a song

I linked most of the songs to some of the best moments in THE OC where they were used so all those FEEEEELLLSSSS could be unleashed.

That's it for today! Toodles!

Inner Demons, and Songs that Dig A Hole in Your Heart

I want to hide the truth
I want to shelter you
But with the beast inside
There's nowhere we can hide
No matter what we breed
We still are made of greed
This is my kingdom come
This is my kingdom come

When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide

Don't get too close
It's dark inside
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide

When the curtain's call
Is the last of all
When the lights fade out
All the sinners crawl
So they dug your grave
And the masquerade
Will come calling out

At the mess you made

Imagine Dragons "Demons"

This has been a hell of a week. A week that never should have been. A week that's full of lows. There were highs, but mostly lows. A week of remembering. A week I'd rather forget. But weeks like this stay with me for long, and it's likely that I will not forget.
Loneliness is sad. It's an excruciating battle. Adjusting is hard. It's always hard for me to adjust. Heck, it took me three years to trust some of my college friends. It always takes me a while to open my heart to people. To live in the now. To tell myself that it's fine.
This week I just feel soooooo tiiiiiiired. Of working on stuff, of not getting any answers, of...life.
Moving away helped, yes. But then again, sometimes, when you think about it, the underlying problems are still there. Your demons are just inside of you, inching their way out when you do not want them to. Sometimes, the hatred is far too big and it is so hard to fight. You want to be by yourself, but you never want to be alone. You fight, and fight, and fight, and it gets so tiring you just want to hide someplace safe. It's a battle within yourself.

I do not know what to say to let all these feelings out. I don't know anything right now.
Anyway, tonight my playlist has been crazy and it spit out songs that just speak to me...And made me even more emotional.
Here are the songs you should listen to (or not) if you're feeling low and low:
1. Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek
"Hide and Seek, Trains and Sewing Machines..." (And yes, it always, always reminds me of The OC, so yeah, double the tears)
2. Orelia Has Orchestra - Suggestions
"Well it just takes  a second for my world to come crumbling down, oh, I'm sure in the distance, you can hear that awful sound..."
3. Room For Two - Roots Before Branches
"I know I'm meant for something else, but first I gotta find myself, but I don't know how..."
4. Billy Joel-Vienna
"Though you can see when you're wrong you know you can't always see when you're right, you're right..." (And this song always breaks my heart)
5. Rachael Yamagata-Reason Why
"And you can tell the world what they want to hear but I've got nothing left to lose my dear..."

And, ugh, as I am writing this, Hide and Seek is playing. again. Why thank you, playlist.

And as for the blog, and why I started another one, like I can handle more accounts, I just...felt like it. Maybe I have to do things just for the heck of it sometimes.
It's Saturday and I'm wide awake. Sleepy and tired. Let's hope I do get some shut-eye.
