I love David Levithan, and I’ll basically read anything he puts out there.

However, when I heard that there was a sequel to EVERY DAY, I was kind of unsure because that was one hell of an AMAZING book, and sometimes, when you create sequels to things like that, they fail.

Still, I bought it. I’m a sucker for a good love story, be it HEA, or without it. I like it when books tug on my heartstrings and make me think, just like EVERY DAY did.

Anyway, ANOTHER DAY is basically EVERY DAY, but in Rhiannon’s point of view. Knowing that, should you be disappointed? Should you expect for something else? Should you expect for something extremely new? Of course not. Again, you have to understand that this is a retelling of their story, and you know what? I enjoyed it.

What I loved about ANOTHER DAY is the fact that finally, we got to hear Rhiannon’s side of the story. We heard about her woes, her frustrations–we saw things the way she saw them, and not just in A’s perspective. I personally believe that this story needed to be told, because their world is something different and there are just lots of facets to it.

One of the best things I liked about this book is the fact that it drew me in, right from the start. I was back in A and Rhiannon’s world–mostly Rhiannon’s, this time. I liked seeing her heart break. I liked hearing things from her. AND OMYGOD THOSE LINES!

Because the truth is that really, EVERY DAY is not just A’s story. Sure, A’s the one with the unconventional life; one who’s not like us in any which way, but it was Rhiannon’s life he entered, and you couldn’t just take that out of the equation.

Some people hate Rhiannon because she could be flaky. On the contrary, would you actually just throw everything away and forget about real life, if you were her? She’s someone who took a risk, and I like that, even though she could be flaky.

Because love’s like that, you know? You decide. You make choices. But sometimes, you get to think ‘What if?” You wonder whether you’re right, or whether there’s more to it or so. And that’s what makes Rhiannon real.

The heart of this book is in Rhiannon–and how she deals with what’s handed to her.

Do I believe their story is over?

I really don’t think so. Maybe, we’d learn more. Maybe not.

And if we do, I’d still be reading. ANOTHER DAY is a story with lots of heart, and if you need a good pull on your heartstrings, pick this book up and read!
